Las Casita is a refuge for 75 teenage girls unjustly tainted by drug
leaders. As children, their innocence is stolen as they are used to
transport drugs. Some of them have babies.
Although the shelter is safe, the living conditions are deplorable.
The girls sleep on beds, with no mattresses, no sheets, no pillows,
soiled blankets; some girls sleep on a board.
We can make a difference one girl at a time; one mattress at a time
Mattresses can be purchased in the San Pedro Sula market for as
little as $15.00 each.
