Made Ready For the Archers Arm
God works in seasons, in the fullness of time, His logistics is perfect. When He appoints and anoints everything falls into place, everything aligns, and everything comes forth. As with pregnancy, it begins with conception, the planting of the seed, the gestation period, the time allotted for development and growth, labour, the onset of the birthing process and then delivery, the fulfilment, the birth. For this process to eventuate, a giver and a receiver is required - A seed giver and a seed receiver. All life begins with a seed. Scripture says, He gives seed to the sower and bread for food, Man plants and man waters, but it's God who makes it grow! "It's not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What's important is that God makes the seed grow" (1 Corinthians 3:7). This is the miracle of life, all life! This is the miracle of God at work within us.
Only God makes it grow! Only God reserves the vested supremacy and sovereignty to change, to alter and to defy the properties and propensities of the workings of the 'seed'. A classic example, the way in which He was ushered onto our planet through Mary and by Holy Spirit unction. This innovative, revolutionary manifestation of conception, (the Virgin birth) gave prominence and pre-eminence to His Divinity. It was ground-breaking, it was cutting edge - It served right from the very beginning to illicit and set ablaze the flame of faith within our hearts and minds to believe, however implausible, however unbelievable. Enter in Abraham and Sarah, old and barren and well past their child-bearing window, along came the God of the impossible - who in time, the perfect time, resurrected and rejuvenated the physiologies of their old barren bodies. They bore Isaac, the promised child, the one through whom a nation, Israel was born. Only God makes it grow! Only God can defy the limitations and expectations of our seed.
Isaiah 49:1 says, "The LORD called me from the womb; from the body of my mother He named me. He has made my mouth like a sharp sword, in the shadow of His hand He has concealed me; And He has also made me a select arrow, He has hidden me in His quiver" You have been chosen, handpicked, concealed, prepared and made ready for launch for such a time and era as this. Remember God knew you and me while we were being knit together in our mothers' wombs! The word 'called' means He appointed a task for each of us. The imagery of the 'sword' denotes that He has prepared and equipped us for quick, sudden, sharp and crisp delivery of His Precepts. His message will go forth from our mouths, unadulterated, uncompromised and ubiquitously (the world over). Being concealed and protected in the shadow of His Hand, is a powerful assurance of His closeness, His shield and His banner over us. That we need not fear our insecurities nor the contempt of others. Perhaps the most poignant is that He has made us as select sharpened arrows, hidden in His quiver for despatch for launch at a designated time.
The world grows darker, perilous and evil. Romans 5:20 exhorts, "The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more" What a resounding assurance that the Grace of God will always abound overwhelmingly and amazingly above the law. We were bought by Grace, delivered by Grace and favoured by Grace. The Grace of God will not take us where the Grace of God has not been made sufficient for us. The harvest is white, ever so ripe, hearts and souls parched and thirsting for a Saviour, for a Deliverer, a Healer, a repairer of broken walls and broken breaches. Now is the time for launch for when God will handpick His select arrow for release, a fiery, target driven arrow that will pierce the deepest darkness so that the Light of His Presence will be made known. "For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God." 1 Peter 1:23
"Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you."For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; But the LORD will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you!" Isaiah 60:1
