Planet Sjakers, Planet Changers!

The Cross and the Empty Tomb of Jesus Christ are eternal symbols of the price He paid for the forgiveness of sin, the redemption and Salvation of all mankind. They are not dust collecting relics tucked away in the annals of history - they're enduring reminders of the cost; of love mingled and mangled in blood, anguish and tears. But this is not where it ended. The transactional collaboration of heaven and earth was just beginning.

Revealing and outlining His plan to His Disciples was not the easiest of tasks Jesus had to deal with. His Words were rich in figurative speech much of which His followers struggled to comprehend, further underpinning that revelation, understanding and spiritual insight are only revealed through the unction anointing and guidance of the Holy Spirit. With the Cross and the grave conquered, Jesus was heaven-bound. But not without a mission, a commission for His Disciples, for all who are willing to take on the mantle, the challenge, the cross for the Kingdom of Heaven.

It's deeply humbling, palpably amazing at the thought that Jesus would reveal His grand plan to a group of simple, lay, ordinary men who for a short walk with Jesus left all to follow Him. But such is the Gospel of Christ, for it is built on the axle of the unknown, the meek, the lowly, the earthen willing vessel, stripped off of all graces and charms, loftiness and vanity, pride and covetousness, vessels through whom the power of God, the supernatural, the wonder miraculous workings of the Holy Spirit could manifest; for surely when we are weak, when we are incapable, when we are in the impossible, when we surrender all, we can overcome and conquer through the strength, the hope, the faith, the unyielding Grace and Glory of our God.

The great commission is to go! "As you go, disciple people in all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything that I've commanded you. And remember, I am with you each and every day until the end of the age". Matthew 28:19. What a debt we owe these devoted disciples who under extreme conditions of persecution and in many instances eventual martyrdom, risked all and gave their all to spreading the Gospel of Jesus throughout the planet. Such was and is the impact and significance of the Cross that it must roll out from generation to generation until He returns.

Friends needless to say as followers of Jesus, as Disciples and servants, our part in the "touching heaven changing earth" obligation is the evangelising of a planet that moans and laments, a world reeling from all manner of ills, calamities and atrocities. It's time to double our effort in taking the Hope, the Answer and the Grace of God to these parched, arid needy places. According to Matthew 28: 31-46, "When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. "Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'

God has kept all of His promises, Have we kept ours?
