Prepared for a Purpose

"For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign LORD will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations." ~ Isaiah 61:11

There’s nothing more gratifying for a farmer than to have prepared, tilled, fertile soil, in which to
plant!  The preparation of the land is no easy process; it must be conducive to what he intends
harvesting.  He factors in all the pre-requisites each type of seed requires and the conditions
that he must ensure, in order to yield a bountiful healthy crop!

So it is with what the Lord has planned and purposed for you and I. There is a process that we must experience too!  How can we become authentic, convincing witnesses for Jesus if we have not been “tilled” for His use and glory?  So many of us question the circumstances we find ourselves in – It’s human to question when everything is a shambles and the harder we try the worse it seems to get. These moments must never deter us or cause our relationship with Jesus to wax cold.  On the contrary the more we seek Him in times like these, the more of His purpose He begins to reveal to us.  We start to experience an uncanny sense of peace, “calm in the storm” if you like. To be handpicked for Purpose is a privilege and honor that we must embrace and not despise.  This creates an intimate dependency on God and He begins to reveal His secrets, His wisdom, and His precepts!

Be encouraged that the Lord is preparing you for service, His service.  He can only use us to advance His Kingdom here on earth. There are so many needy, broken people to reach.  He qualifies us by empowering us with His Anointing. There are no pre-qualifying requirements to be a witness for Jesus.  He accepts us as we are. When He transforms us we become the light and the salt of the earth.  Shining and Flavoring for Him.

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.

To bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.  They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor.

Embrace, endure the preparation process and witness the bounty of Gods Harvest both in your life and the lives you will reach.
